01 The sneak-peek
Keyes Art Nights, one shared voice
Keyes Art Mile's monthly Art Nights bring galleries, music and food together in the creative heart of Rosebank. BBA built the communications system that lets a precinct of independent galleries speak as one — coordinating galleries, DJs, media and hospitality into a single calendar that draws 500 to 1,000 visitors a night.

02 The liminal moment
Keyes Art Mile had already made itself a home for contemporary South African art. Its monthly Art Nights had grown — multiple galleries, live DJs at Mix Bar, an ever-rotating cast of exhibitions — to the point where the ambition of the event outran the communications holding it together.
The threshold was one of scale and coherence. Many independent voices — galleries like BKhz and Lizamore, media partners, hospitality venues — needed a shared precinct identity that could carry them all without flattening any. The brief asked for a partner who could coordinate across those stakeholders and maintain a cohesive voice that elevated the whole precinct, turning casual visitors into a regular cultural audience. The deeper problem was a system: something repeatable and scalable that honoured each gallery's distinct character while making Keyes Art Mile unmistakable.

03 The transformation
We conducted many voices into one. A monthly content-gathering rhythm brings galleries, DJs, media and hospitality into a single communications calendar. Each contributes their own story; we hold the narrative together. The coordination across independent stakeholders — not the posting — was the real work.
We wrote with depth. Every exhibition receives bespoke copy that carries the artist's vision and the curator's intent. From jewellery collaborations to portrait awards, the writing makes the art reachable for a broad audience without thinning its intellectual or cultural weight.
We built a system that scales. A steady workflow — content gathering, copywriting, design review, creative-direction sign-off — keeps quality consistent across newsletters and social. It holds through quiet months and major activations like FNB Art Joburg alike, so the voice stays whole whatever the season.

04 The craft
A precinct that sounds like itself
Every gallery keeps its own voice; together they read as one Keyes Art Mile. The craft is in the system — bespoke exhibition copy, newsletters and social that move in monthly rhythm, coherent across every surface and extendable from a quiet first Thursday to a full festival activation.
